The “Flaming Arrow” Patrol of Webelos Cub Scouts, Pack 5, from Louisville, recently completed their journey in Cub Scouts. The culmination of five years work is earning the highest award in Cub Scouting, the Arrow of Light. This is the only award that can be carried on and worn on the Boy Scout uniform.
Five members of the Flaming Arrow Patrol earned this coveted award: Samuel Cole, Hunter Shafer, Cole Reed, Brandon Kugle, and Caleb Chandler. These members were honored at the annual Cub Scout Blue and Gold Banquet at Lake Tiak-O’ Khata on May 8, 2010, where each honoree was presented with their Arrow of Light pin as well as a symbolic arrow memorializing their Cub Scout accomplishments.
Another award presented that evening honored two young men had earned all 20 activity badges available to Webelos. The “Super Achiever” award was presented to Cole Reed and Samuel Cole.
