In conjunction with local law enforcement and their participation with Golden Triangle Crime Stoppers, the Winston County Sheriff's Department is asking for the public's assistance in the following case:
On July 24, 2010, the Crossroads Grocery on 780 Boon Road was burglarized between 11:00 and 11:30 pm. The suspects gained entry through the rear of the building by breaking out a glass window. Merchandise including Newport cigarettes and beer were taken. The following surveillance video captured the crime. If you have any information regarding this or any other crime or if you recognize anyone in the video, contact Golden Triangle Crime Stoppers at 1-800-530-5171 and you may be eligible for a cash reward. If you have information on a serious crime in the area and you are hesitant to provide your name, call 1-800-530-7151 (free call) . You don't have to give your name. The calls are not recorded and caller-id is not used. Crime Stoppers will give you a code number and you can use this number to check on the progress of your case. If your information leads to an arrest or apprehension, a cash award is available.
