Brandon Presley Elected Vice-President of Multi-State Electric Transmission Committee

Jackson, Mississippi (March 17, 2011)- Today, Northern District Public Service Commissioner Brandon Presley was elected by his peers to serve as Vice-President of the Entergy Regional State Committee (E-RSC) which is composed of state regulators from Mississippi, Arkansas, Louisiana, Texas and the City of New Orleans. Presley has represented the Mississippi Public Service Commission on the E-RSC since its creation in 2009. The E-RSC was formed as a result of complaints and concerns of state regulators and other stakeholders surrounding the transmission system of the corporate utility, Entergy. “I have felt for some time that it was important for the state regulators of Entergy to have a forum for open discussions about the state of Entergy’s transmission system, which has been the topic of much discussion over the past few years." Presley said. "This committee has made great strides in protecting consumers and upgrading infrastructure, both of which are vital to the public interest. I am honored to serve as Vice-President of this very important committee.” Other members of the Entergy Regional State Committee are Commissioner Ken Anderson of the Public Utilities Commission of Texas, Colette Honorable, Chairman of the Arkansas Public Service Commission, Cynthia Hedge-Morrell of the New Orleans City Council and Eric Skrmetta of the Louisiana Public Service Commission.
