A one car accident that occurred just south of East Choctaw Lake Rd left one man dead. The accident took place early Monday morning. The 911 call came at 1:27 am and the victim was pronounced dead on the scene at around 2:00 am according to County Coroner Scott Gregory. The victim was driving a late model Dodge Charger that apparently left the road and struck a tree then bounced into a 2nd tree. There was only one vehicle involved and one person in the vehicle. The victim's body was sent to Jackson for autopsy. The victim's identity will be released later today or early tomorrow.
