Nanih Waiya Takes First 2 Games of the Series - Heads to State Championship!!

Nanih Waiya Boys pounded Bogue Chitto 10-0 on Thursday in the 1st of a 3 game playoff series for the South Half State Division Title. The Warriors spread 10 runs over 5 innings and committed no errors as they held Bogue Chitto to just 3 hits.
Friday night's game didn't come so easy, however. Playing at Bogue Chitto, the 2nd game was a back and forth contest as the Warriors took an early 4-0 lead only to see it swept away in the fourth inning as Bogue Chitto scored 5 runs to take a 6-4 lead. From there the lead changed hands until Nanih Waiya capped off a 3 run 7th inning to take the 11-9 win.
The wins send the Warriors to the State Championship series for division 1A next week.
