Three of the county high school football teams continue down the post season path this weekend. After two wins at home, 7th ranked Louisville must take to the road for their third and most difficult game as they travel to Lafayette County to take on the #1 ranked team in the state not only in 4A but in overall rankings. At 13-0, Lafayette averages over 45 points per game and only allows opponents less than 10 points per game. These two schools met in the 2010 second round playoffs where Louisville dropped a close one by a score of 14-6.
After a resounding victory against Bogue Chitto in their opening round game, Nanih Waiya has to travel as well, as they head to Natchez to face Cathedral. Due to their Division 3-1A Title, Noxapater plays at home as they take on Stringer. If both local teams win their quarter final games, then we are headed for a rematch of the last regular season game where Noxapater defeated Nanih Waiya. All games start at 7 pm on Friday.
