Louisville Board of Alderman Provide Tax Abatement & Payments

The Louisville Board of Alderman had a short session on Tuesday (1-17). The highlights of the meeting follow. A full agenda and final minutes are available at the City Clerk's when approved.
  • Approved a tax abatement requested by the owners of the Revival Apartments (formerly known as Eiland Plaza). The 5 year abatement will abate any additional taxes as a result of  value added by improvement to the property.
  • Approved payments to Kemp & Associates & Davidson Hauling for the Airport project in the amounts of $50 and $7897.44 respectively.
  • Scheduled public hearings for several unclean properties for February 21, 2012
  • Authorized Calvert Spradling Engineers to secure bids on the Polo roof project.
  • Approved trip and training expenses for Municipal Court Clerk  and several police officers.
  • Approved Police Chief Claiborne to begin advertising for an entry level patrol officer position due to recent staff losses and retirement.
  • Approved payment for new mower of $49,170 and payment for New tractor of $62,160.
  • Approved minutes of public hearing on receiving Rural Development funds of $16,699.50 for reimbursement for the above tractor & mower.
  • Authorized notice for proposals for an administrator of fiscal year 2012 CDBG projects
  • Authorized a monthly phone allowance for 2 landfill employees as the main land line for the landfill has been moved to city hall.
