Snow Named President of Ms Jewelers Association

GULFPORT------Johnny Snow, Louisville native and second generation owner of The Jewel Shoppe,
The Diamond Store, a fine jewelry and fine gift shop in downtown Louisville since 1961, was named President of the Mississippi Jewelers Association, during their 61st Convention in Gulfport.

Snow, a graduate of Louisville High School and Mississippi State University, is a certified diamond grader having studied with the Gemological Institute of America. He has been a jeweler for 35 years, specializing in diamonds, custom design and restyling.

He said, “Our Mississippi organization is affiliated with the Jewelers of America, which gives us access to jewelry education and professional training. Members throughout the state are committed to the highest standards of honesty, fairness and professionalism. I am honored to be their representative and to represent the people of Winston County.”

“The people of this area have supported our shoppe for many years, and we plan to continue our commitment to the people and organizations of Winston County.”

Snow is a member of the Rotary Club and the First United Methodist Church and The Jewel Shoppe is a member of Jewelers of America(JA), Mississippi Jewelers Association(MJA), The Independent Jewelers Organization (IJO) and The Retail Jewelers Organization(RJO).

The Mississippi Jewelers Association was founded in 1951, by people in the state whose primary business is jewelry and jewelry services. Their code of ethics serves to educate, inspire and unite the members as well as serve their clients. It is the hope of Mississippi Jewelers Association to grow and experience every part of the state.
