City’s Highway Banner Project Well Underway

With a little community participation, Louisville’s Highway 25/15 bypass will soon be festooned with colorful banners. The city is searching for sponsorship for up to 30 banners to be placed on the recently installed light poles along the four-lane highway.

Mayor Hill displays the banners at a
 recent Lions' Club Meeting
Sponsors can be area businesses, civic clubs, or any organization in good standing with Winston County and the City. One side of the banner will display a standard welcome to Louisville message, while the other side of the banner can display a name or logo of the sponsor. There were only 30 available banners and their sponsorship will be on a first-come basis. Sponsorship involves a one-time fee and will be for the period of the life of the banner.

Mayor Will Hill indicates that about half of the  sponsorships have been committed to date. The revenue generated by this project will be used for the purchase, production and installation of the banners and remaining funds will be allocated for the design committee of the Chamber of Commerce.  The design committee has been responsible for the beautification of Main Street in recent years.

If your organization is interested in sponsoring a banner, more details are available on the city’s webpage at www.cityoflouisvillems.com under the news link or by clicking here.
