Approximately 100 people attended Saturday night's Local Habitat for Humanity Banquet at Lake Tiak O'Khata. Winston County HFH is a locally run affiliate of Habitat for Humanity International which works in partnership with those in need to build new homes or renovate existing homes. The organization's current home is now under construction on West College Street in Louisville and is being built in partnership with the Dennis and Christina Hooks Family.
Trey Jones from HFH State Support Organization spoke to the group concerning the Christian basis of HFH and the many misconceptions about how Habitat operates and how families qualify to partnership.
The evening concluded as door prizes were awarded to Brock Rogers ( a gift basket with items from local merchants) and J.J.Jenkins (gas grill).
