Winston County Library Celebrates Upcoming National Library Week

Our own Winston County Library joins libraries across the nation in celebrating National Library Week on April 8-14. First sponsored in 1958, National Library Week is a national observance sponsored by the American Library Association (ALA) and by local libraries across the country every year during the month of April.
Locally, the Winston County Library has several events planned including a Cyber Bullying Seminar scheduled for Tuesday, April 10th  from 3:30 to 4:30. This seminar will be presented by Chris Templeton of Mississippi State university.  Also on Friday, April 13th, the Library will be hosting an "Attracting Hummingbirds & Butterflies" Program from 10:00 am til 11:00 am featuring Margaret Copeland and Dianne Patterson of the Oktibbeha County Audubon Society. All programs are free to the public.
Later on this month, the Library will also provide Basic Computer and Microsoft Word classes on April 23th & 24th with times scheduled from 9:00 am til 11:30am and 2:30pm til 5:00 pm each day. On Saturday, April 28th, Library staff will host the "Fancy Nancy Tea Party" for the younger folks from 10:00 am til 11:30 am.

Ifyou need more information about any of these events or if you have any questions, call 662-773-3212.
