Stew Stomp Takes On New Face

The local Stew Stomp committee met Wednesday, November 14 to discuss changes for next year's event. The committee decided that a name change was warranted and has tentatively decided on "Veteran's Celebration and Harvest Cook-Off."
The Stew Stomp has been held in conjunction with the area's Veteran's Parade each Fall for several years. The event has been based upon competitive teams cooking stews, soups and such for prize money. Next year the cook-off will be chili.

 The Stew Stomp has also had an art contest every year with the winner's art being used on Stew Stomp T-shirts. This year things will be done a little differently. Instead of waiting until a few months before the event to take in art work, the  committee will start accepting it now. Anyone who is interested in having their art work considered for next year's shirt may turn it into the Chamber of Commerce until the last weekend in May. More information will follow as further decisions are made.
