Local Lions celebrate 60th

The Louisville Lion's Club celebrated its 60th Anniversary with a banquet at Lake Tiak O'Khata on Thursday evening. The Lions are a civic organization that provide community service not only locally but around the world. Whether it's relief assistance in Haiti or providing eyeglasses and eye exams to those in need in Winston County, Lions International and its local clubs are a major service organization.
Thursday night's banquet honored numerous past presidents and current members and was attended by Lions from all over the state including Starkville, Columbus, Maben, Tupelo and Clinton. The guest speaker was Sid Scruggs the First Vice President of Lions International.
