It has only taken a few months for the Winston County Partners for Community Living (WCPCL) to become a reality. Last April, a small group met at the Louisville City Hall to discuss ways in which to provide more assistance to those in need in our community. From that meeting the WCPCL was formed.
The organization is set to take on some tough issues with a goal of battling poverty, unemployment and educational issues in the area. WCPCL intends to coordinate with local churches, civic groups, service organizations and businesses to provide a central source for assistance for those in need with emphasis on education, providing emergency services, family care, food and shelter without duplicating efforts of the organizations involved.
A meeting is scheduled for 6pm at Louisville City Hall to introduce the Articles of Incorporation, By-Laws and to begin the process of selecting a board of Trustees. All citizens are invited to attend.
