Date for Farmer's Market Uncertain

Weather and organizational changes may mean that the Louisville's Farmer's Market may not open as soon as previously thought. Plans were under way to coincide the first market date with the Red Hills Festival on May 28th with a possible one time location in the Courthouse Annex parking lot during the Festival.
Organizers are still in the planning stages and no determinations have been made but one of the major suppliers to the market has indicated that due to weather issues during the Spring, many of his products may simply not be available at that time.
Last year's market was held on Saturday mornings throughout the summer on South Columbus Ave. in front of Citizen's Bank. Traffic and safety issues have raised some concerns and there has been discussion of moving the market to an alternate location. WWN will keep you updated as more information is available.
