Red Cross Looking for Local Volunteers for DAT Teams

The East Ms Chapter of Red Cross is looking for local volunteers to join Disaster Action Teams for this Area.Within the American Red Cross, there is a specific group of volunteers that work on county-wide Disaster Action Teams (DAT). The DAT is charged with the initial response for most, if not all, disaster events.
Members of the East Central Mississippi Chapter DAT are exclusively trained by the Red Cross and are responsible for providing coverage of any disaster within the chapter’s multi-county jurisdiction.
To apply for your local Disaster Action Team, follow three easy steps!
1. Call or come by your local Red Cross Office during office hours to
pick up an application.
2. Once an application is completed, you will be asked to submit a
simple background check.
3. After all paperwork is complete, you will be contacted about training.

The East Central Mississippi Chapter services the following counties: Jones, Wayne, Smith, Jasper, Clarke, Scott, Newton, Lauderdale, Leake, Neshoba, Kemper, Attala, Winston,Noxubee, and Choctaw.
