Sip N Shop Scores Big in Downtown Louisville

A festive time was had by all Thursday evening at the 1st Annual Sip'n Shop in Louisville. Meant to benefit the Louisville Main Street Association merchants during the "dog days" of Summer, Sip'n Shop, inspired by Johnny and Alice Wooten of Market Cafe, was declared a success. New merchants this year include Cuppa, The Pink Flamingo, and Oh So Sweet. It was opening night for Cuppa, which had a vibrant and excited crowd of patrons, who received free samples of food off the menu. The color pink took center stage at The Pink Flamingo as owner Melissa Gookin served up punch and finger food and most items in the shop were 25% off. Oh So Sweet bakery and cafe served scrumptous fare off its menu as well. In spite of hit and miss rain showers, the band "Dr. Zarr and the Amazing Funk Monster" entertained everyone at Bullock Toyota who graciously opened up its outdoor garage when the stage in front of the Courthouse became too wet.
