Highlights of Tuesday's Board of Alderman Meeting

Budget talks and insurance coverage discussions were tabled until meeting set for next Tuesday.
Dale Coward submitted a grant agreement with MDOT for City Approval and it was approved.

City approved a grant agreement with ARC for 911 Addressing for $200,000 and authorized Mayor to sign certification of Drug Free Workplace.

Board adopted a resolution authorizing Mayor to execute the CDBG grant application. Also, authorized Mayor to file application for 2010 CDBG grant and execute grant agreement if application is accepted.


Adopted resolution entering into grant agreement with MDA for $100,000 Rural Impact Grant Funds to renovate the Polo Customs Products Building.

Approved DUI Application for Police Department
Approved Assistance to Fire Fighters Grant Application: 5% match of $5,000 ( to be paid from Fire Dept. budget)
Approved payment of invoices for construction of Landfill Cell #4

Board Approved Southern Waste Disposal request for CPI increase of 3.6%
