Carl Jackson's "Home For Christmas" Returns for 15th Year

Hometown favorite, Carl Jackson will once again bring a host of friends and performers to the Winston County Community Arts Center (Old Strand Theater) on December 10th for a "Home for Christmas" concert. For fifteen years, these concerts have been the core of the Christmas season for the local area. Carl brings some old friends including: Larry Cordell, Jerry Salley, Val Storey, Johnny Rawls, Bradley Walker and comedian Lonnie Shorr. Also returning for their second year is the husband & wife team of Joey & Rory, a rising duo on the Nashville scene.

The concerts benefit the local Community Arts Center and there will be two shows on Saturday at 4 pm and 7 pm. Few tickets remain at this date and can be purchased at the Winston County Chamber of Commerce by calling 662-773-3921.

Interest has been added this year as the Carl Jackson produced benefit CD "Mark Twain: Words and Music" has recently been released and is in consideration for several upcoming Grammy nominations. Recorded to benefit the Mark Twain Boyhood Home & Museum in Hannibal, Missouri, the CD features a bevy of artists as diverse as Jimmy Buffet, Sheryl Crowe, Clint Eastwood, Brad Paisley, Garrison Keillor, Emmylou Harris and many more.
