Eiland Middle School.....Wildcat PAWS Members visited Mrs. Sheridan and Mrs. Fulcher’s classroom and read books to their students in a special way. The books were interactive e-books read from iPads. An iPads is a fun innovative way for children to interact with text. PAWS members modeled how to use the iPad and then let the K-4 students explore for themselves. The students were engaged in reading by having themselves put into the story with a picture taken from the iPad. The students were able to watch and listen to the story in addition to practicing small motor skills by touching and manipulating the screen. The iPads were a big hit with the K-4 students and teachers.
