Teen Tech Seminar at Winston Co. Library

The Winston County Library will host a seminar titled Is My Facebook Profile Me? On Tuesday, March 6^th from 3:30 – 4:30, hosted by Lee Dempsey of MSU Libraries’ Access Services Department.  The seminar will deal with the questions  Am I The Same Person via social media as I am in real life?  Why is online safety important?   What information should be public and private when maintaining my profile?  Why is it important to learn how to communicate properly online?    The seminar will discuss the importance of communicating in a professional manner via online outlets.  Also discussed will be the growing trend of potential employers, college recruiters, and professional organizations viewing your social media pages and how what they see can influence their opinion of you.  That’s Tuesday, March 6^th from 3:30 – 4:30 at the Winston County Library.  Teens, parents and other concerned adults are encouraged to attend this free seminar.
