Dean Park in Bloom

Jerome Moncrief is part gardener and part caretaker at Dean Park. He is hired by the Institute for Indian Development, Baton Rouge, LA in a training program for elderly retirees. Jerome has been in this training program for over 2 years now. He is supervised by the Friends of Dean Park, Inc. (FODP) who are so proud to have him there. He helps to keep the park immaculate. The area that he is caring for in this photo is behind the playground alongside the highway. It is beautiful. For those of you who have not been there while the flowers are in bloom, it is time to get on down there - 3850 Hwy 15 South, Louisville, MS. The landscape for the playground was done by Visual Concepts from a Firewise Grant with donations from the FODP Playground Campaign Funds, Walmart and Dean Park Commission. Also, the Crape Myrtles are in full blooms which were donated by Moe Yarbrough's nursery 3 years ago. Please check it out as you attend the Friday Night Fish Fry and Dance on Friday, August 3, 2012, 6 p.m. - 10 p.m. sponsored by the Friends of Dean Park, Inc.
