Ribbon Cutting for Cash Saver Cost Plus

The Cash Saver Cost Plus in Louisville held a ribbon cutting today (Dec 19) to celebrate their recent opening. Located in the old Piggly Wiggly location in the North Church Shopping Center, Cash Saver brings a much needed grocery to the north part of Louisville.

Owned by the E.L. Vowell family, the grocery has added multiple jobs and sales tax revenue to the community. Mayor Will Hill, Senator Giles Ward, EcoDevo Director Gerald Mills and in-coming Chamber of Commerce President Phil Harrison all expressed their thanks to the Vowells. Property owner Bubba Hudspeth expressed his pleasure at returning an anchor store to the shopping center and that it may lead to other retailers within the next year.

Todd Vowell and E.L. Vowell thanked the community for its support and indicated that it took a lot of people involved to bring the store to Louisville. Mary Ann Johnson, the store's manager and a fifteen year employee expressed her excitement to be here and to carry on the Vowell tradition. The store department managers include: Mike Stanley - produce, Robert Hollingsworth - meat, Mary Eaves - Deli and Wayne Veazey- store assistant manager.
