Area Graduate at MSU

Vana Jean Rush celebrated her graduation from Mississippi State University, at the Humphrey Coliseum , Starkville, MS on December 15, 2012 with her family and friends. Vana received a BS Degree in Criminology with hopes of working for the Department of Corrections as a Probation/Parole Officer with juveniles or in some other area in criminology with emphasis on youth.

Vana is the daughter of James and Mattie Wells-Rush and Jerome Moncrief. Her proud grandparents are Ethel Wells, Sadie Moncrief and Johnny Carter. She is also the granddaughter of the late Zenobia Maury-Rush. Vana grew up in the Center Ridge Community in Louisville, MS and is a 2003 graduate of Louisville High School. She presently lives in Starkville with her two sons. Her father, Jerome Moncrief, is a landscape assistant for the Friends of Dean Park, Inc. at Dean Park in Louisville, MS.
