Family Dollar May Be Coming to Louisville

The Family Dollar Store chain is currently considering a site in Louisville. The Charlotte, North Carolina-based chain has multiple stores in our area including Starkville, Macon, Carthage, Eupora, and Kosciusko. A site on S. Church Ave. at the intersection of Cagle Street is being considered. Due to some lot size restrictions, a variance for certain requirements including setbacks must be granted by the city planning and zoning board. Any changes must then be also approved by the Louisville Board of Aldermen.

Founded in 1959, the Family Dollar store chain is a self-serve, cash and carry, neighborhood discount store and has over 6800 stores from Maine to Arizona.
