Monday Night's Storm System Causes Damage in the Area

Reports are still limited but it appears that Winston County escaped the worst of the damages from last night's storms. There were some power outages in rural areas and some high winds that produced limited tree and roof damages. Other news outlets are reporting the most serious problems in Yazoo County that is still recovering from last Spring's tornado and also in the Starkville area where several mobile homes such as this one were flipped or knocked from their foundations. The Pines Mobile Home Park on S. Louisville St. was hit hard as a number of homes are reported destroyed.There were earlier reports of damages to individual mobile homes in Attala Co. that involved injuries and a possible auto accident that was weather related on the Winston-Choctaw Co. line.
