Christmas Parades in Louisville & Noxapater

The annual Christmas Parade in downtown Louisville is scheduled for this coming Saturday (Dec 4) at 11:00 am. The switch to a daytime parade is something new and should give parade-goers an opportunity to shop with area merchants as well.

This year's theme is Jingle Bell Jubilee. The parade normally draws a number of floats and participants from area businesses, churches, schools and civic organizations. Participants are judged on several categories and awards presented for 1st, 2nd, & 3rd place in each. There is still time to enter a float in the parade. For more information, contact the Winston County Chamber of Commerce at 662-773-3921.

Noxapater will also hold a Christmas Parade on December 7th (Tuesday) at 5:30 pm. There is no entry fee for participation but those who want to participate in the parade must be in the line up at 4:45 pm. This is located between Noxapater Attendance Center and Noxapater Baptist Church at the corner of McCool and Alice Street.

After and during the Christmas Parade, the Noxapater Community Alliance will sponsor a chili supper at the Fire Department and Community Center. Chili is $5 per bowl and the proceeds go toward community improvements through the Noxapater Community Alliance.

If you are looking for more information about the Noxapater Parade , contact the Noxapater Community Alliance President, William McNeel at (662)773-8289.
