The Louisville Animal Shelter is offering a great gift idea for Christmas & it’s free!! This week, prior to Christmas, all adoptions are no cost. The shelter has numerous animals looking for a good home. There is an over-supply of grown animals, especially larger and mid-size dogs. Many of these animals are already spayed or neutered and the shelter will often assist with the arrangements and costs for those that are not.
Hard economic times and the season tend to increase the volume of animals that end up in shelters. Unfortunately those that are not adopted will be euthanized. Mature dogs often make great pets without the training required of a puppy. If you are considering a pet for the holidays, go by the Shelter at 110 Thompson St or call 662-773-4320.
