In spite of heavy rains and inclement weather, The Carl Jackson "Home for Christmas" Concerts were a big success as usual. Both shows on Saturday were sellouts as Carl brought some old favorites and some new talent to the Strand Theater. In addition, to long time performers such as Jerry Salley, Larry Cordle, Val Storey and Johnny Rawls, comedian Lonnie Shorr and singer Bradley Walker returned for their second year as well. Joining the entertainers for the first time this year was the husband & wife team of Joey & Rory. Proceeds from the shows benefit the Winston County Community Arts Center located at the Strand.
