Suspect Charged This Afternoon for Sunday Slaying

5:00 pm 2-29-12  The Winston County Sheriff's Department tells WWN that Chadale Hall has been arraigned this afternoon and charged with the murder of Marcus D. Henton. After further investigation throughout the day, Hall is being held at the Winston County Correctional Facility on a $500,000 bond.

Henton was shot in the back during the early morning hours on Sunday, Feb. 26 at the Imperial Palace Club located at 2710 Ms. Hwy 14 West. The club is located near the Louisville City Limits. Another individual also received a non-life threatening gunshot wound at the scene. Henton was transported to the Winston County Medical Center where he was pronounced dead at 4:44 am. The second individual was treated and released.

The sheriff's investigation discovered up to four guns at the scene, one of which turned out to be the murder weapon.

Chadale Hall has ties to the Kosciusko area and possibly the Jackson area as well. The Sheriff's Department indicates that Hall was on probation stemming from his activities in another state.  Sheriff Pugh states that the investigation is on-going.

The Imperial Palace has had previous issues with law enforcement and was recently discussed at a Winston County Board of Supervisors meeting concerning compliance with local beer and privilege license rules .

Two murders and subsequent investigations since the first of the year have presented a challenge to the Sheriff's Office in terms of  budget and staff.
