Saturday's LMSD school board elections for District 3 and District 4 were completed and results were tallied shortly afterward. Brenda Johnson led the field in District 3 with 204 of the 390 total votes cast. The next closest challenger was Bob Fuller with 84 votes followed by Winford Stewart with 60 and Stanley Foster with 42 votes.
In District 4, Cathy Edwards easily won with 168 of the 262 total votes cast. Charles Holmes received 72 votes while Scottie Johnson totaled 22 votes.
Brenda Johnson will serve a full 5 year term in District 3 while Cathy Edwards will complete the final 4 years of the term that has remained vacant since 2011 in District 4.
