Arrests Made in Imperial Palace Murder - Two Others Still Sought

Two arrests have been made and authorities are looking for two others for their involvement in the February 26 murder of Marcus Hinton. 


Marvin Stingly of Sallis, Ms was arrested this week and charged with murder in the case. Yartney Greer of Durant was also arrested and charged with possession of a firearm by a convicted felon and accessory after the fact to murder. Both are currently in custody at the Winston County Correctional Facility.



Two other men are sought in the case. Napoleon Melton and James Antonio Snow are believed to be in the Holmes County or western Attala County area near Sallis or DurantAnyone with information on their whereabouts, please contact the Winston County Sheriff’s Dept at 662-803-3156. 


The investigation has been ongoing and several suspects have been questioned and released since the incident. Henton was shot in the back during the early morning hours on Sunday, Feb. 26 at the Imperial Palace Club located at 2710 Ms. Hwy 14 West. The club is located near the Louisville city limits. Another individual also received a non-life threatening gunshot wound at the scene. Henton was transported to the Winston County Medical Center where he was pronounced dead at 4:44 am. The second individual was treated and released.
