Hamilton Noxubee National Wildlife Refuge invites the public and Friends of Noxubee Refuge to join Refuge staff in a social celebration on June 14, 2012, at 1:00 p.m. at the Visitor Center. Here's an opportunity to meet the new manager of the Refuge and celebrate its 72nd anniversary. ***Drive on back to Louisville and stop by the coliseum at 4 pm and check out the Farmer's Market. Folks are trying to get the market started again and need the public support. The market runs til 7 pm. ***But go by early or late because at 5 pm, there will be a 75th anniversary celebration of Legion State Park. ( I show my age because I still call it Camp Palila) There will be a flag ceremony at the picnic area and Tracy McCully will provide a little patriotic music for entertainment. ** These are some great healthy and entertaining things to do with your kids on a long summer day..
