Local Fire & Police Department Chow Down to Benefit Burn Center

The Louisville Fire Department and Police Department chowed down on Saturday to raise money for the Mississippi Burn Center. The teams faced off at Luigi's Restaurant   in a slider eating contest. The three member teams (with substitutes) downed slider after slider in the ten minute competition. A little trash talk started the contest as the Police Department took an early lead and were up by as many as three sliders. But a late rally by the Fire Department in the final minutes led them to victory.
Kevin McCool with the Police Department team ate the most individually as he consumed 11 of the sandwiches. Luigi's donated $4 on selected meals sold during the event to the Mississippi Burn Center.
