MSOPE Again Offers Protocol and Etiquette Classes to Local Youth

The Mississippi School of Protocol and Etiquette (MSOPE) will again offer classes for Winston County Youth in Louisville, Mississippi at Louisville City Hall. All county youth are eligible to participate. This is the second time that these classes have been offered to our area and participation is a prerequisite for becoming a member of the Mayor's Youth Council.
Students who participate in the Mayor's Youth Council are part of a volunteer program in their community as well as developing individual leadership skills and improving communication between youth and local leaders. Two year participation in the program could result in significant scholarship opportunities for students as well. To find out more about the program and how to sign up for future programs, contact Louisville City Hall.

Registration for the MSOPE classes will be August 20, 2012, from 4:00 to 6:00 p.m with the first class scheduled to begin on August 27, 2012, and are as follows:

(Ages 7-12 4:00 - 5:30)
(Teens 13-18 6:00 - 8:00)
The class will be 5 to 6 weeks on Monday evenings and a parent and teacher reinforcement class will be September 8, 2012, at 8:30 a.m. Any teacher in attendance will receive 1.0 CEU credits.

The Winston/Louisville Mayor’s Youth Council (MYC) was established in the Spring of 2012, and the inaugural council was established from youth (grades 9-12) who completed the class offered by the Mississippi School of Protocol & Etiquette (MSOPE).

For more information you may call City Hall, however we strongly urge you to attend registration on August 20, 2012, for questions you may have related to MSOPE.
