Multi Agency Drug Investigation in Winston County Yields Arrests

      During a joint investigation, on Friday August 10, 2012, Officers, Investigators and Agents from the Louisville Police Department, Winston County Sheriff’s Department, Mississippi Bureau of Investigation and the Mississippi Bureau of Narcotics, executed a search warrant at 120 Kennedy Avenue in the City of Louisvillle  for illegal narcotics. As a result of this search warrant, two individuals inside the residence were arrested and detained and one individual was served with an arrest warrant for sale of controlled substance. Law Enforcement also confiscated an undisclosed amount of U.S. currency and suspected illegal narcotics.
            Winston County Sheriff Jason Pugh and Chief of Police L.M. Claiborne would like to urge the citizens of Louisville and Winston County to report any and all suspected drug activity in their area. The Louisville Police Department and the Sheriff’s Department in Winston County, in a combined effort, are working to deter and eliminate the drug activity in the Louisville, Winston County area. Remember, we don’t need your name, just the information.
         The two individuals that were arrested were transported to the Winston Choctaw County Regional Correctional Facility where they will remain until their initial appearance in Winston County Justice Court.
