New Grocery Now Open in Louisville

CashSaver opened on Saturday
Louisville's newest grocery store is now open. The CashSaver Plus - CostPlus Food Outlet opened on Saturday, (Oct. 20)  on N. Church Avenue in the old Piggly Wiggly location next to Dirt Cheap. The store features a new concept for our area as a "cost plus 10%" store. All items are marked at cost on the shelves and a 10% markup is added at the checkout counter. CashSaver Plus is a full service grocery with well stocked produce and meat departments and a deli as well. The deli is open seven days a week and includes a large variety of items with some variation every day.

The local economy has already been aided by the 42 jobs created by the store opening and the additional sales tax revenue should be a benefit to the city as well. The current location had been without a tenant for a number of years and the new store should improve retail traffic in the area.

Store manager Mary Anne Johnson indicated that while the store was in full operation at this time, a grand opening is planned in the near future.

A full deli operation
