Noxapater Easily Defeats Nanih Waiya - Both Head to Post Season Play

Thursday night saw the in-county showdown between Nanih Waiya and Noxapater. The Tigers of Noxapater easily handled the Warriors, scoring on their first offensive play of the game and never letting up through the first half. Nanih Waiya responded with a touchdown of their own early in the first quarter but that was about all the Warriors could muster as Noxapater held a 33-6 halftime lead. The game was never in doubt in the second half and ended with a last second score by the Warriors that was too little- too late. Final Score - Noxapater 40, Nanih Waiya 14.
Both teams head to post season play as Noxapater took the #1 spot in Division 1A- Region 3 and Nanih Waiya finished in the # 3 position. The defending state champion Tigers will host Dexter at 7:00 pm on Friday, Nov 9 and Nanih Waiya will travel to Stringer to face the #2 team in Region 4.
