Here are a few things that you need to know for the upcoming election on Tuesday, November 6th:
Absentee voting can still be done this week through Friday from 8:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. at the Courthouse and the Courthouse will be open on Saturday, November 3rd from 8:00 a.m. - 12:00 noon. This will be the last day to vote absentee. Louisville's Main Street will be closed for the Stew Stomp on Saturday but the parking lot behind the Courthouse will be available.
Mailed absentee ballots must be received in the Circuit Clerk's office by 5:00 p.m. on November 5 to be counted. Military absentee ballots must be received by 7:00 p.m. on Election Day.
There are no changes in poll locations for this election, so voters will vote in the same locations as the last election unless they have changed their physical address. If your address has changed or you have had a name change due to changes in marital status, etc., you should contact the Circuit Clerk's Office prior to election day to verify the accuracy of your information at 662-773-3581.
Polls will open at 7:00 a.m. and close at 7:00 p.m.
The Mississippi Photo Voter I.D. law has not yet been approved by the U.S. Justice Department prior to this election therefore, no photo I.D. is required to vote.
