Farmer's Market Begins

The Farmer's Market opened on a hot & hazy Saturday morning (June 4) in Louisville. While it's early and the weather has not been particularly cooperative this Spring, a handful of vendors sold a variety of items along South Columbus Avenue.  Produce included sweet potatoes, cabbage, tomatoes (ripe & green), yellow squash, zucchini, peppers, cucumbers and peaches. Vendors also had jams and jellies and some handmade items. The market will continue every Saturday from 7-10 am thoughout the Summer and into the Fall. As more crops become available, the number of vendors and variety of products should increase.
