Area teens and local officials gathered to celebrate the opening of the new "Teen Zone" room at the Winston County Library on Tuesday, October 18. The project was made possible with a grant written by Lisa Ramage of MMRLS and additional help from Friends of the Library. The Library would like to thank all those who gave their time and talents to the project. These include: Roy Wood, Keith Adcock, Robin Carter and Melvin Chase.
The "Teen Zone" includes computers, art work and a movie license with future movie nights to be announced. The room provides teens a place to study, do homework, access computers and have a little fun. There are plans to include more projects in the future. The next teen meeting will be November 8, at 4:00 p.m. at the library. All teens are encouraged to stop by and check it out.
