- Approved a change to agreement with Alliance Health Center for the disposition of certain mental health/drug and alcohol commitments required of the County. Costs will be at $585 per day. The contract is required when space is not immediately available in state facilities.
- Set the date for county road inspections for December 18 and 19. Also were updated on several projects including Yellow Creek and the Beth Eden bridge replacement which has just started. The Beth Eden area road will be closed throughout the replacement process.
- Received a report on medical costs at the Winston County Correctional Facility stressing the use of the state provided doctor for treatment of county prisoners. A contract which was later approved should save the county significantly over use of emergency room and ambulance facilities when possible.
- Open bids on a used excavator for District 5 from Scott Equipment in the amount of $76,300 and Thompson Equipment in the amount of $91,500. Bids were taken under advisement.
- Approved change orders to a contract for roof repair at the Teeters facility. Total contract amount was $118,764.
- Approved a interlocal agreement with the City of Louisville for housing city prisoners at a rate of $25/day. The existing agreement had not been updated since the 1990's.
- Approved the Real and Personal Property Assessment Rolls for 2012.
- Approved an order to set the salary for Chancery Court support staff and to appoint Debbie Jordan as Court Administrator.
- Heard from Lee McCall, Adminstrator of the Winston Medical Center concerning a change in the trauma care program. WMC is currently in the eastern region of the state's trauma care division. WMC is requesting the State for a change to the Central region as most trauma patients are transferred to Oktibbeha and/or University Medical Center which are already part of the Central region. This change has already been approved by the hospital board and medical staff..... McCall also briefed the Board on the Noxapater Clinic project which is expected to be complete sometime after the 1st quarter of next year.
