Local Citizens Complete Constitution Survey |
If you saw some youngsters hanging out in front of the Winston County Courthouse on Wednesday (Sept 19), they weren't skipping school or waiting on a court appearance. The 8th grade U.S. History class of Judy Sanders at Winston Academy were there to participate in Constitution Week. This week denotes the 225 anniversary of the drafting of the U. S. Constitution and the class with participation of the Nanih Waiya Daughters of the American Revolution were conducting a survey of local citizens about their knowledge of our country's primary legal document.
Citizens were asked to complete a short multiple choice survey that included questions about the Constitution. The survey was anonymous and the students will compile the results as part of their class study.
